Right now, it looks like a 50/50 chance he will be going to the Tigers. Some sources say it is a lock, while others have him going to Seattle.

What have you heard? And what is the latest on Vlad?

I heard he was actually an alien from the gamma quadrant, he's also a trans-sexual, watches Dr. Phil, and likes to hang out with Michael Jackson and spank small boys.

Then again you can't always believe what you read in the Weekly World News.

Seattle has a large interest in him, but may not be willing to shell out the bucks. They're trying hard to shore up their infield, perhaps losing Guillen and Cirillo (ick).

Detroit has the cash, and would likely give Tejada what ever he wants...

Seattle or returning to Oakland. Detroit is a blackhole, he'd be crazy to go there. He'll end up just like ARod if he does that.

While I agree with you, as a loyal Detroit fan I would love to see him come to our 'blackhole' team... :D

People who are saying Tejada must not know anything about him. He ONLY cares about winning, or at least that is all he seemed to care about in OAK. He always says all he wants to win.

If he goes to Detriot then hes a just another money grubbing loser ( e.g. Jason Giambi) who tries to whore himself to the media to advance his bargaining power.

No, im not bitter. :)

it's too bad the A's can't afford him. If he goes to Detroit .. i wont even follow his career anymore.

Yo,
I'm an A's fan and have been going to A's game since Ricky Henderson was a rookie and Billy Martin coached the team. Yeah, I'm old. So what.

Tejada's great, but they have another hot shot they want to bring up from AAA. Only the Magic 8-ball knows if this prospect will pan out. That, and money, are the main reasons why Schott and Beane are willing to let Tejada go elsewhere.

As much as I like Tejada, and Chavez for that matter, last year they went a combined 3 for 48 (give or take) during the playoffs. If those two guys, who are SUPPOSED to be the best hitters, had even hit at the Mendoza line during the playoffs, the A's would have advanced to the next round instead of taking the early exit.

Let alone Byrnes forgetting to touch Home Plate.

A few free agents, and a top prospect or two coming up, and the Tigers could win... Or, perhaps I am dreaming...
