depends on the league. NL games are usually faster, iirc

They need to do some hurry-up face-offs to drop the games to 2 hours instead...

>>> Oops wrong sport. ;)

But seriously, 3 hours is too loooooong...

It usually is faster if it is not on TV. Baseball, like football and other sports, sometimes have to wait until they are back from comerical.

Baseball games are way too long. I am a Mariner fan, and I can't see their games cause I live in NYC, so I listen to them on the radio through MLB.com AND/OR I watch a condensed game. Has the payoff pitch of each AB, basically what really matters. Yes, some pitcher-batter matchups, the true art is in seeing it develop. But for your average pitcher vs. your average hitter, it is not. Condensed game is 20 mins long and I can see all the important stuff even though I like 3000+ miles away from tv coverage of my team. Beautiful :)

at wrigley or at coors?

Wrigley, of course. ;)

well, not gonna be as long as one in coors. less offense at wrigley. could be short depending on if its ace v ace. two good pitchers makes for a short game, in the low 2 hour range usually. of course if you get the scrub pitchers it could be a while.

Its all the rituals that batters go through in-between pitches coupled with pitchers lolly-gaggin' around the mound that extend games so much. Guys like David Eckstein that go into the on-deck circle every single pitch and go through a Richard Simmons workout.... :disgust:

I used to be a much bigger baseball fan when I was younger, mostly b/c I had a lot more free time and I was still playing ball. Now its fantasy baseball that keeps me interested.

Still nothing better than gettin :beer::confused::beer: on a gorgeous spring/early summer/early fall day at the ballpark. Wrigley is a great place to watch a game too; we've got Camden Yards, which was a lot more fun when the O's didn't suck.
