Anyone here know how to set up the 360 controller for MLB 2K10 ? I have read quite a bit online about the issue, but the controller just don't seem to work.

In controller settings, the controller is recognized though. And has button mappings set. But in game it wont work...although the menu's work fine with the controller.

Any suggestions ?

EDIT: It also works flawless with Devil May Cry 4 as well.

The 360 controller worked fine for me.

What type of 360 controller are you using (wired or wireless)?

Works for me too. Just got this game for $1.99....SWEET deal (an I'm a football "soccer" fan)

Make sure you have the right driver AND plug in the controller before you start the game.

I played a buttload of MLB 2K10 until the glitch where the game would just crash if you got the playoffs in the second year of your My Player career.

Did pretty good with my self made hitter's season though :p :

322 hits

51 doubles

107 HOME RUNS (yes, 107 home runs in a single season)

283 RBIs

182 runs

716 total bases

52 walks

.520 batting average

.559 On base %

1.155 Slugging %

34 stolen bases

353 assists

272 putouts

Didn't sim a game that whole season.

I've had this game for months and never had an issue with my wired 360 controller.

To use that program that I just downloaded from the link above, I know it goes in the game directory, but does it matter if I got the game through STEAM ?

To begin with, can't even find my game directory.

Yea, like I said. It works perfect for all my other games. Lost Planet Colonies, Devil May Cry 4....etc:

MLB 2K10 does recognize the controller in the setup menu. I can even browse the menus's. But in game, like if I am pitching first, None of the buttons work.

However...The button assignments are not X,Y,B and A. They are assigned as 1,2,3,4 and so on.

Assignment thing is a game issue not controller

Also you don't have a 360 controller, you have a aftermarket controller FOR 360.

Big difference and I have no clue if that particular manufacturer actually has Windows drivers etc.

I understand it is an aftermarket controller. But if this was a problem, wouldn't I have issues with other games as well ? Or not ?

Out of about 9 games I use this controller with, MLB is the only one "even though it recognizes it" that wont work in game, but does in the menu's.

Ill look around and see if there are specific "drivers" for this controller and MLB.

I have no issues using my PS3 controller in xbox 360 controller emulation mode, so I don't know why you'd have any problems using an actual 360 controller.

I have no clue either. In game....the X,Y,A, and B will work to select pitch type, but all 4 shoulder buttons, both sticks wont work at all. They do absolutely nothing.

Thanks, I was just going to ask if I could use my PS3 controller on the PC :)

Do I need any hardware to make it work or is it just getting plugged in via the USB port?
