so I accidentally formatted the wrong partition today here at work on a server (running RHEL v4) nearing completion for production.

wish me luck that I don't lose my job. stupid mistakes happen, hopefully this is realized.

anyone know any positions open for a network/systems engineer or administrator *anywhere* in the US?

There's rsync running, but only for the sql databases. I didn't set this server up. There's a backup I believe, only for certain data, but the server will still need to be rebuilt.

Been there, done that, ...didn't get the T-shirt 🙁

But I'm happy now, knowing I'm not the onlyone who has done that 😛

perhaps if you weren't posting on ATOT throughout the day you'd have more time to concentrate on your job...just a geekish thought...
