Mizumo running shoes?

I typically go with Asics shoes, but I'll be due for a new pair of shoes towards the end of November. Last time I was at the Runner's Den, I noticed the Mizumos were a little cheaper than the Asics I usually go with, but I decided to go with the known brand.

This time around, I have a coupon for 20% off a pair Mizumo brand shoes that I'll be able to use, making the shoes rather cheap. I take my running shoes rather seriously, but I'm all for spending less money for the same thing.

Can anyone comment on the quality or have an experience with them they'd like to share?

Mizuno makes great stuff. They approach shoes from a technical standpoint first and foremost with fashion a far off second. One of the few brands out there still that hasn't alienated true runners for the sake of profits.

Guess I'll pick up a pair for my next set of running shoes. Thanks.

I had one pair of Mizunos when I ran a lot - they were fine. I am a dedicated Asics guy, though, because they are the only shoes with sufficient cushioning in the forefoot for me.

Go with the brand/model of running shoes which fit your feet best ... brand & appearance shouldn't be primary considerations.

I agree. I own a pair of Mizunos. I need to buy another. They are great. I end to go to a local runners store and he lets people try them on and go for a short run outside his store. He advices that we bring our old pair so he can see the wear and tear and based on our running pattern suggest shoes. Works so well. Suggest everyone to do the same.
