Mixing things with case fans on the PS.

I am in process of setting up my new build. The PS, OCZ GXS 700, has two lines with 3 four pin molexes and a floppy on each. I'm going to have a DVD burner, a floppy drive and 3 pata hard drives along with 3 case fans in an Antech P180. Somewhere I remember reading something about never mixing fans and hard drives on the same line but I have forgotten the details. Should I just link the fans together and run them off of the Gigabyte DS3 motherboard while dividing the other hardware between the two PS lines? How about putting the fans on one line and everything else, with an splitter, on the other? Or can I toss the DVD burner (floppy too?) in with the fans? There are also going to be 2 sata hard drives but the PS has plenty of connectors on their own lines for them. And a 7950GT video card with its own line. Almost forgot. Since the MB only allows for 2 IDE drives I will be using an add on controller but I still need to power them. Thanks for your suggestions.

I've never had a problem linking fans on the same line as with other devices. Some of the old Pentium systems used to have the CPU fan plugged in between the line from the PSU and the HD. I wouldn't worry about it.
