I picked up some of the HP ram that was in the hot deals forums while my primary ram went off to rma. Got the back today (go baffalo) and wanted to know if i can run em together.
The HP ram is 667 and the baffalo firestix runs at 800. The firestix run at 667 by default, but thats just to get some motherboards to boot properly.
Guess i'm asking if I can run the firestix at 800 and just drop the hp ram in there also for 4gb. Anyone overclocked these hp ram to 800? MB is 965p DS3 rev 3.3. thanks!

If these are pairs, just keep them in their corresponding dual channel slots & you should be able to run them quite nicely.

I'd say OC them & let us know if they reach DDR2-800 ;)

Keep in mind that P965s tend to be quite weak at OCing 4 dimms, so you might need to increase NB/MCH voltage a little, & loosen up RAM timings sometimes too.

What FSB are you running your processor at? If it's 333 or less, I doubt you'll notice at all. You certainly won't notice in day-to-day usage.
