Mixing Pre-N brands

I currently have a Belkin Pre-N MIMO router that I have used since they came out and I love it. I have only one Pre-N card for a laptop but I would like to have a couple more for other PCs around the house. After using Pre-N the old 11g is frustratingly slow.

My question is can I mix brands (Linksys, D-Link, Netgear, etc) of Pre-N cards and still get the 108 throughput?
 
Mixing brands of draft hardware is always a bad idea. I've seen a lot of issues with mixing and matching pre-N gear. If you have to stay with one brand.
