Mixing memory sticks with different voltages?

Fully populating DIMM slots with mis-matched speed, timing and voltage modules is about as bad an idea that I can think of.
Of course your system may run rock solid, I wouldn't try it.
But it's your money... Try it and let us know how it works out for you.
 
Why would you want to do that when there is very little price difference?

Even if the specs between the two manufactures overlap, it's too much trouble to experiment and determine what they may be -- the overlapping "spec-set."

If you want more memory, buy the same kit model from the same manufacturer with the same specs.

The only exception I would entertain is as follows. You have a machine -- not the latest or greatest -- and you want to double the memory. You weigh buying more of the same, but discover you have a spare set previously purchased -- different model name/number and possibly spec'd at a higher speed -- from the same manufacturer. You discover that the specs of the two kits overlap at a certain desireable speed, voltage and latencies identical.

So you save yourself a little money. But I don't see any savings or reason in the OP's proposal.
