I have a gig of Mushkin PC3500 2-3-3-5 RAM in my machine currently... I'm considering adding another 512mb or 1gb kit, but of Corsair XMS PC3200 2-3-3-6. Right now I'm running the RAM at 5:4 on my setup, equating to 192mhz after my overclock.

Has anyone pulled this off successfully before? Mushkin doesn't even make the PC3500 Level One stuff I currently have any longer, so buying more of that is out of the picture.

You might have to change your multiplier since both of your memory sticks will clock down to 400 Mhz.

i didn't . . . my o/c is the same [2.80c@3.31Ghz 5:4] . . . . i DID have to set both of my timings to match the slowest stick ;)

if you have to ram sticks that are different speeds, the faster one will be clocked down to the slower one
as far as i know, the timings shouldnt matter

they do need to be rather 'similar' to run in DC ;)

the OP should be ok . . . i asked this same question over a year ago before i bought my extra 512MB . . . not many others had tried mixing it up then
