Mixing diff size memory modules

I'm planning to install 3 GB of memory (since vista 32 can't access 4 GB anyway) into my new system. I plan to install 2 1 GB modules of Crucial Ballistix PC2-8000 in to the first banks and 2 512 KB modules of Crucial Ballistix PC2-8000 in the second set of banks for a total of 3 GB.

Will this cause any issues? Will I still be able to perform moderate OCing?
