Hi,

What would happen if I mix different model of DDR3 modules having different timing?

Currently using: Mushkin Enhanced Silverline 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
(Timing = 9-9-9-24)

Will buy soon: Mushkin Enhanced Radioactive 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600
(Timing = 7-9-8-24)

I don't do overclocking. I hope that there will be no harm of long term consequences due to mixing up different RAM modules.

Thanks in advance for any advice.

they will work together. i would advise to run the new set of memory at the same timings as the old one so they match - 9-9-9-24.

memory follows a strict specification. they are designed to work with each other 100% if they are compatible.

Just run them at the same timings as your current RAM. Actually, your board should do that for you if timings is on auto.
