I currently have a following setup:
One (1) MSI K7T 266 Pro (MS-6380) Motherboard
- AMD Athlon Thunderbird 1.33Ghz
- Three (3) 256 MB PC2100 DDR RAM (Crucial)
One (1) Western Digital 120GB w/8MB Cache and one (1) Western Digital 60GB Hard Drive
One (1) Geforce 2 Ultra w/64MB RAM

I am going to sell one (1) of my 256MB RAM sticks and will get one (1) 512MB PC2100 DDR RAM (Crucial) memory stick. Could anyone tell me if the 256MB and 512 MB RAM will co-exist? Or will there be issues? I would be very happy if I had 1024MB of RAM!!! :D

Thanks in advance for any input! ;)

If you have the 3 sticks of 256Megs working fine now, then a 512 and 2 x 256Meg sticks will work fine together too. Size like that doesn't matter(unless you max out the amount before you have to use Registered ram, ie. 2 or 3 gigs depending on the mobo).

double sided and single sided stuff used to have issues, something about single sided being half a bank and the mem controller thinking the next slot would be the other half of the bank, so you put double sided stuff in first.
