Has anyone experienced or heard of any problems with having different brands of SSD in their system? e.g. an Intel SSD as C drive and another maker, OCZ, Crucial, Kingston or anyone else sitting as drive "D" or "E"?

My C drive now is an G2 80GB intel SSD and the next larger size Intel is way too expensive so I'm considering another maker for a 128GB SSD as a second drive (with a HDD as external backup keeper).

No prob... I have had several different SSDs hooked simultaneously and have an Intel X25, Crucial C300 and Imation M-Class hooked up right now as a matter of fact. You can also throw in a Samsung 1.5Tb drive and Momentus 160Gb which serves as my encrypted drive.

If you are looking...check this out... Its the cheapest 128Gb out there right now and comes with a USB adapter kit. Just about to try it out in fact and do a review in a few days hopefully:

I'm not sure if it matters, but I found this review at hardwarelogic.com.

The drive controller is a Phison PS3016-S3. This controller has been on the market for a long time. We are unsure if the drive has support for either TRIM or Garbage Collection, but it is likely that it does not. It is a standard MLC based controller.
