No, there are no problems as long as you disable ECC checking.

If ECC checking is enabled in the BIOS there is a very small latency penalty on some accesses (typically less <3% system performance hit in most applications). If it is disabled in the BIOS, then there is no latency difference between ECC DRAM and non-ECC.

pm knows the score. don't even bother buying ecc if you don't have it unless you want to throw ram away.

and p4 rdram is installed in pairs (lots of people don't know that, even when the mem configurator says "must be installed in pairs" in big bold text)
