Does anyone know what a 'mix' file is?

My aunt sent my mother some pictures as a 'mix' file. I expect it's some kind of proprietary compression format.

Got this from list claiming to be all known file types.

It seems to be a PhotoDraw 2000 object. I couldn't open it, but was able to import it into Word.
