mix and match ram... bad idea?

at the moment, i'm running twin sticks of corsair DDR2 PC 5300 (667) ram (512mb each), on a P5ND2-SLI Deluxe mobo. i'm looking to upgrade to either 1.5 gigs or 2 gigs of ram. i was curious if putting in crucial ballistix memory as well would hurt anything. i have my cpu overclocked as well... and i was curious if that would create issues with the other ram. any help appreciated.

I run 2 different sets of ram on my 865 board; one pair is pc3200 and the other 2 are pc3500. Both perform about the same. All 4 sticks are low budget stuff. You'll just have to try it. I would play it safe and get the same if you're overclocking.

Nah, it should work together but when you're overclocking, you'll be limited to the slowest stick.
