mITX/mATX build with Poseidon 1080 Ti?

I'm looking at the following build and want to try water cooling - can I water cool my CPU and the GPU in a small case such as this one?

Intel CPU, 16GB Ram, m2 SSD

Edit: Looks like the 1080 Ti won't fit in the Air 240, what's the smallest case I can use?

Edit 2: Forgot to mention, I already have a Corsair 500R case + Intel i7-4790k + MSI Z97 Gaming 7 from few years back. I can re-use those but am looking to move to a smaller case + water cooling.

The Carbide 240 is actually a fairly large uATX cube. Why do you think the GPU wouldn't fit? The Poseidon is a 3-slot cooler, which would preclude SLI setups, but if you're removing the cooler to add a water block, you're fine even for that.

If you're happy with an uATX case, get a uATX motherboard and save a few bucks.

The Fractal Node 804 is a similar-size case to the Carbide 240, but is maybe a little better equipped for water-cooling. (You pull out the back-side HDD racks and can fit in a monster radiator - unless I'm mistaken, the toolless HD trays in the Carbide look like they're fixed.)

Hey, thanks for the recommendations. I'm not set on uATX, I could go for smaller mini ITX if it will help me fit in more radiators and fans.

According to the Air 240 specs, 29cm (11.4 inch) is the longest card I can fit, and the Poseidon is 29.8cm (11.73) inches long! I guess I have to scratch the Air 240 from my list?

Fractal Node 804 seems more promising:
  • Graphics card compatibility: Graphics cards up to 320mm in length. Graphics cards up to 290 mm in length may be installed if a fan is installed in the lower position in the front.

It won't help. Those go elsewhere in the case.

Besides, you're only cooling a single CPU and GPU, so... you really don't need a lot of radiators and fans. A single 240mm rad would barely do the job, but it'd git'r'dun.

Both the Air 240 and Node 804 support dual 240mm radiators, which would have 4 120mm fans... but then that's basically it for the rig. Maybe add one rear fan to get some air moving past the SSD, but you don't even really need it.

If you're water-cooling you're removing the heat sink and fan from the GPU - the bare PCB is shorter. Although I guess I'd also point out that the price premium you pay for that big honkin' 3-slot cooler is also going to waste. You could easily save $100+ getting a different 1080Ti.

I have one and like it. Mine's full of hard drives though, not water cooling hardware. If you're water cooling everything, you move the rad over to the right hand side and don't really need fans or additional airflow in the motherboard/GPU bay.
