I have to say that I am sorry to lose his voice in the Republican Party, but agree wholeheartedly with his view on old politicians. Both parties are doing our country a disservice if they nominate Biden and Trump to be their Presidential candidates.

“At the end of another term, I’d be in my mid-80s. Frankly, it’s time for a new generation of leaders. They’re the ones that need to make the decisions that will shape the world they will be living in.”

I do think it's admirable of him to sail into the sunset, I highly doubt it's for some sort of selfless reasons.

More money to be made playing the edges with some sham charity or PAC than being a senator I'd bet.

And of course he goes out on a "both sides" note, because Mitt Romney.

Dude looks pretty put together for someone that's 76, keeping off the sauce does wonders I guess. No issues with someone that age sticking it out if they are keeping their shit together.

Mitt is a douche, but still one of the best GOP left, really sad.

1. He signed MA’s universal healthcare act, the ACA was modeled after it, but he voted against it years later, campaigned on repealing it, and how did he vote on that infamous John McCain thumbs down midnight spectacle in 2017?

2. How did he vote from 2016-2020? Yea, as expected, shitheel is mitt

Mitt also said this about Mitch McConnell who is 81 years old and had two stroke-like episodes during recent pressers.

“We might lose from Mitch McConnell 20 seconds a day. But the other 86,380 seconds are pretty darn good. So I’m supporting him,” Romney, a Republican, told a reporter.

A little duplicitous of ole Willard don't you think? Even in little bits of honesty he's still douching it up.

Mitt being classy again. Good job man.
I have an odd relationship with Mitt. I mostly like what he’s about, I like how he’s organized and professional. I think the was a decent Governor.
I never liked his rapid fire flip flops, he can be pretty vague about some things. He is a man of extreme wealth and he just doesn’t connect with me.

Fun fact which I didn’t know about.
Here is Mitt at a BLM March. Any other National Republicans do this?

I'm actually shocked by this. Like you said, I doubt any other Republicans attended marches. They tell everyone BLM are terrorists.

Per something I saw last night Mitts father was involved with Civil Rights and *this part might be off* Mitt felt like he needed to March again like he did with his Father.
The BLM stuff is classic Mitt. He just does it because it is right, he’s not there for the attention.

Edit: This isn’t what I briefly saw last night but it’s a good summary.
Force isn’t the answer, we must eliminate the forces from which they stem. Mitts Father George while he was Governor of Michigan.

LOL neoliberals co-opting and sanitizing the Black Lives Matter movement. I guess not as bad as Bowser in DC who just painted the words on a street like it meant anything and then increased police budgets.

Meh right would have defunding the police and removing all the ridiculous protections they have to go murder black people. Not a pointless gesture like walking next to some black people for the photo op.
