He's done the same before.
Mitt might be a born and bred elitist, but he isn't a sociopath.

He wants to use the money to shore up social security. That's a good start. How about we institute a guaranteed neutral budget by having a variable rate of taxes on the richest 0.1% to make up the difference? It might make the billionaires start caring about solving the country's economic woes if they were stuck with the bill instead of skipping out on paying their fair share by buying congress critters to make loopholes for them.

Trump dumbass voters will think Trump isn’t in the files. That’s what the brainwashing effort is now. Only Reese’s Democrats initially giving this pieces of garbage talking points

Bill Barr did the exact same thing in the Mueller Report release

You know shit is out of whack if the private equity guy is calling for higher taxes.

Either that or he sees the writing on the wall and has calculated that it’s better for republicans to pass a tax increase on the rich than to let democrats do it.

I’m going to go with the latter, seeing as he was for corporations being people way before it was codified by the Supreme Court.

We’ve seen the bait, now watch for the switch!

I saw his op-ed in the NYT... Interesting to see that the disproven and tired trope of the family farm and estate taxes was trotted out. Years ago, when the estate tax was lower, the WSJ did an analysis and found exactly 0 farms that were "taken away" or impacted by such taxes.

Gee if only he was in a powerful group that could have made it a reality. Fuck Romney and his empty talk.

Hate to say it but his politics have always been almost identical to Obama.
How is that a good thing. They are both gutless wonders, addicts of the system, in my opinion? How will anything change if money is needed to get elected or you need a Presidential looking TV face? It’s always the outcasts, the weird, the different who know anything. The world of pretense fears the real and pretense is everything.
