Anyone ehre looking into getting one?

I am waiting on the WRX STI. This is going to be one hell of a grudge match. Can't wait till one of the car mags does a test. I know that SCC already did one, but that was a J-Spec Evo and I don't think the US version will have the active diffs and other goodies. From what I hear the STI will have 261 HP and the Evo is supposed to have "above 250", both engines are 2.0's.

There are pictures in Road & Track and Car & Driver mags...

By the numbers it should go

WRX STI > US EVO > Regular WRX

They've taken away the buggy looking headlights for WRX since it didnt sell too well in the foreign countries thats what I read

* shurgs *

New style WRX

Yes they did thankfully! Now I just hope they have a yellow that doesn't look washed out.

Mitsu's are crap no matter which way you slice it. Gimme a $27,000 350Z...way more class than Mitsu crap.

but can a 350Z run a rally?
I would get a WRX before a spec EVO anyday, although I would probably get a 350Z too

When's the last time you ran a rally in Greensboro, NC? Come on!!:p I know that Wendover Avenue has some pot holes in it, but it ain't THAT bad:D Maybe we should cover Battleground Ave. in dirt and let you go at it :D

that would be pretty fun:D
but the reason that there probably arn't too many rally areas around here is the reason that I would get a 350Z

The STi should be sweeet. I still remember when I read a couple of years ago a comparison between the previous M3 vs the previous gen STi. The M3 won that match (surprise surprise) although the STi was much faster.

BTW, isn't the US getting the EVO VII or VIII??

I'd like a WRX over a Mitsu too. Of youse guys that like the WRX, which one would you get , the sedan or hatchback ?

A used WRX would suit me just fine, nevermind the STi. Brand new cars get ripped off on a regular.

Used cars do get stolen, but I somehow feel more comfortable parking my 87 VW when there are nicer, newer and more expensive cars all around.

The new Subaru Impreza WRX STi version looks sweet with the new headlights! The old ones just suck. As for the Evolution VII? That car rocks too. But I would still rather get the Evolution. I like yellow...hehehhe. I do admit the WRX STi looks badass.

What are you gonna do with it?

You gonna take a brand new car and crash it on a Rally track?

It's one thing to brag about Drag racing, or doing Motocross with a $1200 dirt bike, but I think before people can Rally brag they must produce some video, if you can afford taking a $30,000 vehicle out and trashing it you can afford atleast a digital camera to get us some pics :p
