Mitsubishi's Craziest Idea ever

"Los Angeles is one of the few places where within a one hour drive you can go surfing at the beach, hiking in the desert, snowboarding in the mountains, and still make it out for a night on the town in the infamous LA club scene. So we decided to design a vehicle that can take advantage of all that LA has to offer."
HAH! They've obviously never driven there.

"Los Angeles is one of the few places where it takes you five hours to get a mile down the freeway. Only morons drive there, and there's no point in buying any sort of "sporty" car when you'll just be stuck in traffic the moment you pull out of your driveway anyway."

Seriously... Portland is the only place in the US where it is truly only 1 hour to the beach and 1 hour to the lifts. But the powder is wet (aka "Cascade crud") and the ocean is 48F.

It's doable if you have a helicopter - or a neutron bomb and bulldozer.

they had a ton of these 'design concepts' at the la auto show, as a part of a contest. most were pretty ridiculous. mercedes had a flying car. so mitsu isn't totally wacko here.

Where I live, near Doylestown, Pa., it is one hour, fifiteen minutes to the shore (Jersey shore, what you call the beach), and about the exact same time (1 1/4 hr) to the Poke-yer-nose for skiing.
