3rd recall in 12 months on that car.

One recall was for a loose steering nut.... "might cause you to lose control of the vehicle"

The Galant is made in Normal, Illinois.

It's not too clear what exactly the recall will be on. The information on Mitubishi's corporate site makes it sound like it's for pre-2001 models (it says that it's on 'non-current' models). In that case, I got lucky, mine's a 2001, my coworker has a 2000. For the Galant, there's a problem with a faulty bearing in the suspension. Other makes have problems with the airbags and something else I can't remember.

Tomorrow I'm dropping mine off for service, and I'm going to ask if they know what this affects.

Mitsubishi makes crappy cars. The 3000gts are horrible. No one will work on them, and when you find someone who will, they'll buttfuk you with the bill. Theyre just shiesty cars. Usually the Japs make good shiet.
