i wondered how long it would be before a major manufacturer would do a promotion like this, in light of recent gas prices

man, their cars from the 90s were awesome. 99 esclipse, 3000GT, the early-mid 90's galand vr4...
My dad owned a montero once, and that car was pretty cool and reliable. I loved the center console since it had those 3 aircraft-looking guages lol.

But... who cares about a promotion like this? I mean, it's only on the 2005 models. So instead of giving you a discount or cash back, they give you a damn debit card that you can use for gas. STUPID!

This is a repost, but I can't find the thread. I remember it had a pretty obscure title and a search for "Mitsubishi" doesn't bring it up.

The Kia dealer in town does this too. Although you're basicly stuck with the same problem - even with $1500 free gas, it's still a mitsubishi/kia.
