Hi I have this combo now and before I got the radeon 8500 I had AIW radeon and all was good. My problem now is I cant stand to be in front of pc for more than 30 min without my eyes killing me. Refresh rates are at 85 hz but Im having to turn my volts down on my monitor from 0.7 to 1.0, now the picture looks alot better at higher volts but its just to bright. anyone having anykind of troubles similar to this any input would be great thanks

I had the same problem. I set the reflesh rate to 100mhz and I still can see the image shaking, You know like in low reflesh rate. I resently got driver 6011, same sh!t. Then I when to display properties, settings, advanced, display and click on monitor and click on monitor atributes. Changed the maximum reflesh rate to 100, It solve the problem. It seems like the 8500 sets the max reflesh rate to 60mhz by default. so if you set it higher in display properties, the numbers are higher but only 60 in reallity. This is just my thinking, but it solved my problem. Hope this help.

Thanks I checked in there and it is set at 120 hz, perhaps i need to get a smaller monitor say 17 lcd or something, cause the Diamondtron NF tube is getting to be to bright on the eyes, the picture is outstanding but if you need sunglasses to look at it perhaps it time for a LCD monitor. I am allmost 40 years old so perhaps my eyes are not what they used to be.
