According to all the specs everywhere, it supports 86hz at 2048x1536, yet all I can get XP to see is 60hz. Also tried RefreshLock and using the nVidia control panel as well.

Any ideas?

Try reinstalling your monitor driver or setting up a custom resolution mode in the Nvidia drivers. When I upgraded to SLI Windows would only recognize 20x15 at 75hz for some reason, but making a custom 85hz mode fixed it.

I have just removed the 60hz and 75hz modes altogether at the resolutions I use (using Rivatuner's monitor driver utility), so any game will always run at least at 85hz.

FYI- None of the current vid cards support 86Hz running 20x15 unfortunately, only 85Hz :p

You do have NaviSet installed right? If not, Google it, DL and check it out.

Yeah, I was mainly trying to say that XP wouldn't recognize anything over 60hz at 20x15, but I knew the monitor's specs said up to 86hz.

Naviset is great tool. I know I've used it for a lot of different settings, but don't recall seeing the ability to set refresh rates in there. I'll have to check that out. Either way, I set the custom resolution and it's working now.... not that I can play too many games at that resolution anyway with my setup. It was just bugging me that it wouldn't take it. I wouldn't have even noticed but I was playing some HD trailers and the 60hz desktop made me want to stick forks in my eyes.

I've had it for about 13 months now. Got it from the Nec/Mitsu refurb shop for $300. nm-select. Also grabbed a 930sb there at the same time. I wish I had grabbed 2 of those 930s since my daughter's display is getting old and awful to look at. Granted, she just turned 3, so she doesn't do much on there except play her care bear videos and Dora games, but my son's friend comes over to play on the LAN pretty often. It sits side-by-side with my son's 930sb and when they play something like Warcraft3, the difference between the 2 is huge.
