Looks like Rep. Gohmert Pyle just extended McConnell a lifeline by denying UC for the House Bill. House now needs to come back from recess and read the corrections package out loud on the floor. Mitch essentially gets a free pass for delaying the Senate vote now.

As Mitch would say, “the ball is in the House’s court.”

They are trying to get Trump to realize that this is a serious problem. That it's not something he can solve with bullshit and phony optics. Peoples lives are on the line. It must be like pulling teeth to get him to act and show leadership to ALL Americans. Just a quick little note to say Piss off to McConnell type Republicans who are so vehemently against "socialism" and "welfare" that they're willing to do harm to living, breathing human beings, but are more than willing to embrace both socialism and welfare when it's bailing out the GOP voting base (farmers etc) and giving more tax breaks to the wealthy.
He's probably the laziest president we've ever had. Who knew being president was a lot of work and like for 24 hours.

Just as a note, appears his handlers are having success. His rambling winging it press conference he said “nobody is to blame” “we are all figuring this out” and best of all he had some almost kind words about Jeff Bezos and how Bezos has reached out to the White House to work on a plan (no details were given)

He didn’t shit on Pelosi or Chuck
He didn’t say hoax or shit on Democrats
He didn’t shit on California or New York
He didn’t accept any blame for anything
Most surprisingly the President said the major news networks are being very fair & responsible about coverage

Looks like somebody smelled the smoke of a burning economy. McConnell and Schumer have a deal to move a short term FISA extension so they can get onto the House bill and the next level of stimulus negotiations.

Basically, everything has ground to a halt. Watching CPAN2 is like watching a bunch of Neros.

The FISA extension passed with unanimous consent. Once Gohemert is dealt with the House can send the updated bill to the senate. Sounds like the mood over there is to just pass the thing and deal with anything they want fixed later as this certainly won't be the last bill on the topic. Probably eager to get to the big fat stimulus that their constituents, donors, and lobbyists are about ready to break down the castle gate for.

Just because there is a likelihood of millions of deaths is no reason people should be given anything free
Sure, once someone is deathly sick and no broke and about to be homeless we should furnish an easy means of suicide. What a callous fucking tool you are.

"Trump was astonishingly presidential today. Maybe this is his moment?"

no, fuck that shit. he's a useless coward piece of shit and deserves no praise or sympathy, for anything. This is him being shackled to the podium and force-fed words that he can barely read. They are mostly true, too, so you can observe in real-time the effect of truth passing through his throat has, like flame to flesh.

Yes! Never understand this sort of myopic view of him. You examine him like you do anyone else, the totality of their behaviour. Even the worst of us can seem decent in small isolated moments.

Trump is a degenerate. He called this whole thing a hoax, has spread misinformation, lied, blamed it on China, spread conspiracy theories about this and there is probably more I'm missing knowing how much of a fucking disaster the man is.

If Donald pretends to be competent it just means he listened to his advisors one day. There's no guarantee he'll do it consistently.
I'm pretty sure I remember him doing something similar about three years ago. Everyone thought he was turning around going clean.
He didnt. It was one day. He went right back to threatening and harassing on Twitter & television. Donald is too old to change his nature, and his nature was selfish & lazy to begin with.

The senate has passed the House relief bill.

Work continues on the stimulus bill.

He made a point in a horrible way, that said, if your working in the US, reside here, you need to be paying taxes as well. I think the vast majority probably do though.
that's not the point he's making. he's saying you shouldn't be able to apply for refundable credits on your income tax return if you don't have an SSN. if you don't have an SSN then you need an ITN to file. either way you've paid taxes.

He knows full well that undocumented workers pay federal income taxes with an ITN number.

Did you mean, ITIN?, I just read up on it, did not know it even existed. Total dick thing to say then and not shocking from this pro asshole.
