I was randomly browsing Youtube when I came across this:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yXEuEUQIP3Q

I wish there were more people like him on television nowadays. I don't have any kids but when/if I ever do, I'll be showing them his shows.

I also wonder if he would even work in this era. Kids would be too busy playing on their smartphones.

Watched a recent story on 60 minutes, talking about the Gen X/Y whatever and how difficult they are to train and work with in the corporate environment. Expectations and the methods used to manage them are a bit different--need a bit more coddling and pushing to get work done, they tend to expect more for less, etc.

One of these sociologists and economists mostly blamed Mr Rogers (et al.), raising this generation to believe that each and every one of them is particularly special, with little enforcement in teaching the work/reward philosophy.

you mean...YOU MEAN...*sniff* we're not?!?! WHYYYYYY. Seriously though, I believe it. People my age (almost 31) and below can be such whiny babies.
