Recently acquired a 1g Tbird and 512 Megs of micron PC133.

Guess it's time to upgrade.

I'm torn btw the MS-Pro2a and the KT7-Raid. I plan on using a raid 0 array and Win2k as the OS.

As far as I can see from other posts, the MS mobo is more stable than the Abit, and since I'm not planning on OC'ing the system, would I be better off w/ the Pro2a and a Promise Fastrak100 raid card?

(I just installed a 0+1 array in a P3-800 server w/ the Promise card and it really kicks arse).

The MS+Promise solution might be a bit more expensive, but possibly more stable, eh?

Also, I've read posts regarding problems w/ the MS and ATA100... supwidat?

Comments will be greatly inseminated.

Well I just recieved my MSI K7T Pro2-A. But I was going to get the Abit board before I heard it was going to be released, cause at first I did not like the fact that the MSI board did not have ATA100 support, and also I did not want to wait, but the Pro2-A was released and that solved my solution to which board I decided to get. I am not in the mood to be staying up all night trying to fix problems with an Abit board. I just want a nice stable board that can do what I want it to with no problems, and the K7T Pro2-A seems to be the answer.
