Has anybody heard of a bot that seeks you out on MSN Messenger? I got a notification that somebody added me to their contacts and asked me to approve or disapprove it. I didn't know the person and found basically nothing online about this stranger, so I sent her an email asking who she was. She didn't reply, so after several days, I approved it, hoping to see her online to ask who the hell she was (thinking it was a cousin or something), figuring I'd just block it as soon as I found out. So she pops online within minutes and says "hi". I reply and about 3 minutes later she says "hi" again. After getting "hi' every 3 minutes, with no other responses, for about twenty minutes, I blocked her.

I hope I haven't infected myself with something stupid.D:

Has anybody heard of anything like this before? Am I hopelessly behind the times? I have searched for bots, but nobody seems to talk about ones set out in the wild looking for people to chat with. And if it is a bot, it's borked.

It was weird, though. The replies seemed to be timed exactly, somewhere around 2 minutes 45 seconds or thereabouts. That's what made me think 'bot'.
