I just got the ATI Radeon AIW 8500 and now i hear that Geforce 4 is comin out in february :disgust: Should i return this (and keep my Geforce 2 Ti) or keep this card for a while.
Prices will be high anyway and with the 6month cycle the new ATI card would be out shortly after that. So would you wait for it aswell? Then there's only 4 months til the next Geforce and would you want to wait for that one too?
If your Geforce2 was doing everything you needed then there wouldn't have been much of a reason to upgrade but if you needed the ATI for whatever reason you might as well keep it. There is always going to be better hardware out there.
Do you realy what tor eturn a card based upon unconfirmed rumours that the GF4 is coming in February?
Remember before that rumours said mid January. And it wasnt long ago that rumours said late December...
Until nVidia officially confirms it's release date I wouldnt base my purchasing decisions on rumours.
Remember ATi is also bound to release another card just after nVidia pulls out the GF4 also.
I say keep it. There is no point in hoping the rumours come true when we have no definite confirmation, and there is almost always something better on te way.
