I listened to the clip. Did not hear what was quoted in article. Also the cursing at cops was being done by a few people in group who were close to recording.

I think 3 were arrested.

Slight misrepresentation by National Review but not surprised.

They didn't say that quote was recorded. Therefore, of course, it never happened :p Oh the LIES OF THE MEDIA! I KNOW IT TO BE TRUE BECAUSE I AM SO GREAT!

So many out there believed for a long time, and some still do, that Wilson woke up that morning and said to himself "Today I plan to hunt me a nagger."

It's wrong.

And it is not outrageous in the least if the other side of the argument wants to take a moment to ponder if that quote provided by this article was legitimately chanted or not.

the good old tolerant left...

I'm no fan of Obama and Holder, but I'd give them props if they held a press conference, along with other prominent civil rights leaders, and condemned actions like this and urged for calm. Not gonna hold my breath though.

Probably the same #of people out there who think police and CJ justice system treats everyone equally, the police acted above board in this case and blacks are always complaining over nothing.

What is your argument? You completely dismiss the claim in the article's headline because (1) there is no direct evidence, & (2) it doesn't fit your vision of this country?

Myself, I am open to the possibility that the chants were or were not said. I'm also open to the possibility that the chants were said by agitators not associated with the Brown side.

But to outright dismiss them because you don't want to think about the possibility of it being true, that's just plain ignorant.

Yes I dismiss the headline in article due to lack of evidence.

Shocking. Maybe more accurate title "Some of the protesters curse at the police"

You look incredibly dumb nit picking like that. The title didn't say all protesters. It said plainly protesters, which is 100% factually correct.

(1) is becoming less likely and its starting to look like (2) now.

This "chant" is nothing new. The protesters did it back in August and in the beginning of October.

I can be about as partisan as they come but I don't see this situation as a right/left issue.

Neither do I. To me, this issue is completely a rule of man vs. rule of law issue. Its quite clear than many in this country are fine with moving from rule of law to rule of man. History has taught them nothing.

Shame on you.

For what? Point out a guilty officer (Edit: to be clear, I'm talking about the CHP officer) that wasn't prosecuted because he was a cop, and allowed to resign?

For pointing out a huge double standard between cops and the rest of us?

Do tell.

So it is possible that Wilson might resign according to various news outlets.

Link

According to the article, he will resign only if he isn't charged. Hmmmm.

Remember that CHP officer? That beat the crap out of a woman ? Yeah, he didn't get charged, and got to resign, keeping all his benefits.

You or me caught on video beating someone like that? We would immediately be arrested and be in jail for a while right now, but a cop? Get out of jail free card. Nice to have that double standard.

There's an obvious reason for that. He can't continue with his previous duties because the self-deluded public will be too hostile to him and it will be extremely dangerous. Resigning is the only real option other than risking death and serious bodily injury. However, if it came a trial, the prosecution would try to claim that his resignation is some kind of admission of guilt.

He's doing exactly what *any* legal counsel would advise him to do.

Notice how I didn't bother to address your silly association with the other unrelated event? That was intentional. It was too silly to even acknowledge.

Then you come back with this:

Just like that "innocent" CHP officer right? He only resigned because it would be too dangerous for him to continue working? LOL
You're trying (and failing) to make a point in the most infantile way possible. Deflecting to some completely unrelated case.

1) Assume for a moment that Darren Wilson is 100% innocent. How would he possibly continue his duty as a police officer? He would be forced to resign.

2) If he resigns right now, then the GJ decides that his case goes to trial, don't you think the prosecution would imply some kind of guilt based on that action? They would say: "If you claim you didn't do anything wrong, why did you resign?" Any lawyer or semi-intelligent person knows to avoid that accusation altogether.

What exactly do you think is strange / unusual about this? He really has no choice but to do it after he knows the GJ decision.

You should be embarrassed by your behavior. If you're not embarrassed, you're deluding yourself.

Did you see the headline for your link? It said there was a $1.5m settlement. Let's just ignore that... Let's pretend that there was never any attempt at justice.

Did you know there's not enough evidence win a case if they do press charges?

Did you know that?

Did you know that the evidence we have supports Darren Wilson's version of the events?

Did you know that?

Unless you're sitting on that grand jury you know nothing of the sort.

What does this have to do with anything?

Ya know.. I live in St. Louis and walk through sketchy (if you were gonna get attacked because of racial tension this would be it) areas every day. My interests in this are probably more significant than most people's here. So I'm watching this on a day to day basis.

#1 Provide proof Officer Wilson can't do his job is he is not indicted. It seems from other cases where police offices killed/beat/abused citizens and were not charged, they continued doing their jobs.

#2 If he is innocent, why would he resign? That would mean he didn't do anything wrong.

#3 Since you obviously didn't read the fucking article, it states that he would only resign if not indicted. GG for reading skills dude. Guess it was too hard to take the 30sec to educate yourself huh?

#4 In the article I linked, the CHP office clearly broke the law (if you disagree, provide proof as to why beating the crap out of a defenseless woman is legal, we'll be waiting for that). Also, he clearly was NOT charged with a crime. So the family did a civil suit, and the government settled for $1.5 million. That means they knew they were at fault. So ask yourself if they knew that, why wasn't he charged? Why was he allowed to get away with criminal assault?

That example I posted was a clear example that even when cops break the law, they are not prosecuted, and are allowed to resign without anything bad happening to them.

So why not that possibility in this case? The example I posted proves it can and does happen. Fact.

Post your proof that he can't work anymore. Post proof that the CHP officer didn't commit an illegal act. Post proof why you think the CHP office should have not been charged with a crime.

You are an embarrassment, you can't even read TFA, and then make up all sorts of ideas. Yup, that certainly is an embarrassment for you.

Worthless drivel, not worth reposting in a quote.

Take a basic course on logic

Premises:
If A => B
B

Your Conclusion:
Therefore, A

Actual Logic:
B does not imply A

And please do the world a favor and stop repeating your false logic. It's an insult to the forum. Goodbye and have a nice day.

Here is my logic..it isn't hard, so maybe you can figure it out.

It is possible that Wilson is resigning because the DA/police don't want to charge him. Maybe they think he broke the law, but can't prove it in court. Maybe he only broke dept regulations, but didn't break the law. Maybe as a DA that always supports cops no matter what, they just don't want to punish a brohter officer. Could be a lot of reasons.

To support this, I provide proof that this CAN and DOES happen, as my example clearly shows. I am sure you can find a lot more if you look around.

So logically, what I wrote is possible, as my supporting example shows. Because it happened in the example I posted.

In no way shape or form did I say that it HAS to be that. I said it is POSSIBLE, and has happened before. So please explain how it is in no way possible for his alleged resignation to be linked to some sort of misconduct.

Thanks for playing, go back to school and learn to read and use logic. Gotta love these dumbasses that won't refute statements or prove their own with facts.
