How interesting that the US pays at least 40% more than any other industrialized nation for less health care ...

The politicians for this state are mind-boggling. I haven't been here long enough (5 years) to figure out how any of them got to where they are, but even my home state of Indiana looks good by comparison. And that's sad.

I don't know if it's interesting.

When I searched for info on it (actually searching for info about a claim that 5% of people avccount for 50% of our heaklth care cost - or something similar) I found gov studies showing that the bulk of our health care costs are focused on the elderly, particlulary on the group of 80 plus year olds.

I live in a retirement area and we've got buildings full of them. They require round-the-clock care in an assisted living facility (might not be the precise term) and sit immoblized and drooling while being medicated constantly. It's sad, and damned expensive. It's paid for by Medicaid etc (some are in more expensive living facilities which are paid for by their private insurance). AFAIK, other countries don't do that and may explain, in whole or part, why our costs are so much higher.

Should just give Missiouri, Oklahoma and Texas back to Mexico pronto.

With any luck, they'll accept you as a trade instead of those states.

I noticed you didn't comment on his lying -- would that be because he is a Democrat?

I heard this audio clip yesterday. This was hilarious. They flat-out laughed at him and called him out for being the liar that he is.

The average American is not as stupid as the Democrats think they are.
But is the average democrat as stupid as Americans think they are? Maybe. :)

I laughed, too. I am not sure if he's lying or truly believes what he says. I can't judge that. I can, however, laugh at his statement.

Or just watch CNN for a few hours during the day, and see all the medical product companies advertising how you can get all sorts of things - motorized wheelchairs, especially - at no cost to you! They'll just bill Medicare! Apply now! :disgust:

Once Uncle Sucker picks up everyone's tab, the deficit is just going to explode. We'll see a $1T+ deficit on an annual basis.

You spew the same things out in order to hide behind the problems of current proposals. Actually there is a Republican plan. Go google it. Not hard to find.

Of course you would say that because it's universally true that only Republicans think the current UHC plan is laughable.

It's the hardcore, defend at all costs people on either side that are a huge part of the problem with politics.

Actually, no. Craig is just a proud Leftist who contributes intelligent (yet misguided) posts.
