My prison fantasy football team hasn't looked this promising since Michael Vick was in the big house.
Rich white dude defense? What's taking them so long to prosecute this case?
The wheels of justice grind really really slowly (particularly in white collar crime cases...)What's taking them so long to prosecute this case?
AG of Texas Ken Paxton has been indicted for 7 years with no trial. There's your white privilege. Meanwhile Crystal Mason......The wheels of justice grind really really slowly (particularly in white collar crime cases...)

It took 6 years not because R. Kelly stalled but a primary witness refused to testify and a search warrant was invalidated. It took 6 years after being charged to bring R Kelly to trial the first time around, when he was acquitted, and 3 years the second time when he was convicted. Wheels of justice turn slowly for anyone with enough money to slow them down.

Bingo.Eh. Those things may likely have happened only because of his means.
And then the cherry on top by really just sticking it to this sleazebag:"The Court also acknowledges that from the reports in the public arena after government investigations, forensic audits, civil litigation, Favre's text messages, and Favre's own implicit admission by returning $1.1 million dollars to the State, it appears to be widely believed that the money obtained by Favre for himself and USM came from welfare funds," Starrett wrote in his dismissal.
"Although the funds may have come from the State of Mississippi, such TANF funds were intended to go to poverty-stricken families, not to fund the construction of a college volleyball [facility]."
I remember how this guy was the dream man in There's Something About Mary.
Little did Mary know that he was a pervy welfare thief!

But just over a year after she secured journalism’s top award for exposing how $77 million in federal welfare funds went to athletes, cronies and pet projects, she and her editor, Adam Ganucheau, are contemplating what to pack for an extended stay behind bars. Sued for defamation by the state’s former governor — a top subject of their reporting — they have been hit with a court order requiring them to turn over internal files including the names of confidential sources.
Well that's mighty white of him.The welfare queen blames it on Parkinson's disease. Years ago, he said he's had hundreds of concussions as a football player.

(CTE is indeed a devastating disease.)If an athlete has been subjected to traumatic brain injuries since they were a teenager, and those injuries destroyed his brain so much that he no longer had the agency to stop playing and getting injured further, is it the athlete’s fault, or is the sport and the culture around them?
Have you guys seen Aaron Hernandez’s brain?
