This looks pretty good. Starts today. Has a 7.1 at IMDB. In the movie he is really hanging from a real C-130 with a harness that was digitally removed. In Mission Impossible 4 where he was hanging off that mile high building in Dubai he actually fired his insurance company to do the stunt. As old as he is he certainly is the real last action hero.

wtf were you also listening to 106.7 the fan this morning on the way in to work? they talked about both of those scenes from both movies and that is how i found out that he really did the stunt on the plane too. i knew about the one in part 4 though, but not that he fired his insurance company until i heard it on the radio this morning.

Pretty stoked for this. Just re-watched the previous four films and, aside from the second one, they are all super fun. I'm a Cruise fan anyway, so I'll see pretty much whatever he puts out.

Yeah, LOL That's him. He's pretty good at his reviews though.

Besides the fact TC is a fucking nut, his movies are all generally really good.

Saw it last night, great action flick.

I like TC movies in general but never a fan of MI series but this one is great easily the best in the series.

Some of the stunts he pull is crazy for for a mega star, the plane sense and the bike race is beyond what even Jacky Chan will do.

Just for the shit he done worth the ticket.

I don't normally like Renner but he did great on this.

And TC always have a good taste on actress.

Precisely. All I can remember from #2 is that it had slow motion. Lots of slow motion.

Going to see this tomorrow night at a drive-in so should be fun. Paired up with Trainwreck.

Cruise a crazy MFer but master of his craft. Excited to see this one. Glad he left Scientology as well.

That's why his movies are generally worth the price of admission, a star actor that does his own stunts is what's sorely missing in today's Hollywood.

Even if someone isn't a fan of his, he has to get huge props for all the successful films he's starred in as well as all the crazy stunts he does.

The rock climbing in 2, the Burj Khalifa in 4, and the plane in this movie: I wouldn't do a single one of those for any money. Literally. If someone was like "Hey, here's a billion if you want to go jumping around on the outside of the tallest building in the world" I'd tell them to get effed.

And I actually liked the third one the least. Despite PSH being such a great actor, I thought his character was just stupid. And the whole movie seemed kind of disjointed.

The plane isn't the greatest stunt in 5 IMHO

I saw the movie last night, and overall... it was okay. If you like Mission Impossible movies, then honestly... it's more of the same. The biggest problem that I have is that the movies are ridiculously predictable. I didn't care much for the first one because I knew who the bad guy was once the first mission was over. It wasn't exactly hard to guess. :\

Also, there are no bonus scenes after any part in the credits. So, don't waste your time waiting.

EDIT:

The plane isn't the greatest stunt in 5 IMHO

It's also right at the beginning of the movie.

if someone paid me tens of millions of dollars and gave me a support crew i would totally do that.

I honestly do not think I could physically even do that. I have a feeling my body would just shut down from fear. :D
