missing vxd files

Hi
I have a problem finding and/or transfering some vxd files.

Some files do not install with W98se install.

I have them in a folder on my computer but when I copy them to a floppy to install on a new install of W98se the other computer shows a blank disk.

The floppy disk has sneaker net and a read me txt. on it and they show ok. I cant remember which cab file they are in.

configmg.vxd, ntkern.vxd, vcomm.vxd, vmouse.vxd, vflatd.vxd,and vdmad.vxd

Any help would be appreciated

Sounds like the new install of 98SE has it's folder options set (defaults to this) to hide certain kinds of files, which is why they don't show on the floppy when they are really there. Here's how to fix it. From Microsoft itself:

Q: How do I show hidden program or system files?

A: Showing hidden files comes in handy, for example, when you've tried to delete everything from a floppy disk and Properties still indicates 100K in files. In any folder window (including My Computer), to show all files:

From the View menu, click Folder Options.
Click the View tab.
Check Show all files.

Once you've done that, go back and look at the floppy's contents. You should see the VXD files, as they are normally hidden until you select "show all files" from the View menu.

What do you need to copy those VXD files for? They are already located inside the unified monolithic VMM32.VXD.
