Missing .vxd files

Whenever I boot up my computer I get two messages almost exactly alike; saying that the SYSYTEM.INI or the Windows Registry is still referring to the ventsup.vxd and the dfs.vxd files. This happened after I had reinstalled Windows 98 and reinstalled my NVIDIA card drivers to be able to change my resolution and display quality again like normal.

Is there anyway to stop these messages from popping up, or is there any way to fix this problem? Any help would be immensely appreciated.

Try unintsalling you network card driver and aslo remove all networking componets in you Control Panel -> network and reboot

Then re-install the Client for microsoft networks and tcp/ip and you network card drivers

Did you mean: vnetsup.vxd

if not then there maybe something funky in your computer

I suspect it's part of a bigger problem reinstalling windows should not have caused a vxd not to load
as far as I can think

I think you'll have to go into a little more history
