Missing volume weirdnessity

"The volume that was removed had open files on it"

Thats the error message I get every once in a while when I reboot from resetting my win98 machine due to a freeze. I pretty much narrowed it down to the rc5 client. Anyone else get this? It's getting quite annoying. the only want to get rid of this message is to reset the computer again and hope the message does not come back up. I may need to take my 1 Gig off the herd if this keeps up 🙁

if you have a promise ata controller card then this might solve your problem:
