missing USB in Win2k...

I've done serveral installations of Win2k at work.. and i've noticed that every once in a while the whole USB portion of Windows is missing.. its a if the motherboards didn't have USB ports at all.. and therefore if you plug a USB device in, it doesn't detect it. Does anyone else run into freak installations with missing USBs?

My company mainly uses Gigabyte 7ZX's and Gigabyte 7ZXR's. We got a good deal on a bunch of them awhile ago.
