Missing signs...

I work on a windows XP system. The keybord is set for english and greek language but since I wanted to switch to polish language there are no polish signs (greek instead). Only the IE can actually display polish signs... I heard about some patches but can`t find any. Genrally I just want to write polish signs in Office2000, nothing more.
I would be thankful if somebody advised me what to do in such situation.
