even with remarking and overclocking AMD would end up loosing BIG TIME on the monetary side of things (and PR for that matter) if they removed the pins.
Think of how much money it would take to re-tool the dies and the amount of down time the production line would have. That is mega-bucks for a corporation to stop small time (1% in ragiepew's own words) overclockers.
I'm not sure about how many chips are remarked, but i'd venture to say its much less than 1% of the market considering how many remarked chips i've seen/heard of (I've only heard of 1, an old pentium 2, never seen one) and how many overclockers i know! (a lot!)
