Missing Folders on 2ndary Harddrive

Here is my set up

Primary HDD 80GB
Secondary HDD 200GB

I swapped out my 80 with a 40 so I could install winXP bare and test to see if a peice of video hardware would act better with no extra software or codec's installed... well on the restart of WinXP it said the indexes on my drive D: (200 secondary) were bad; drive D is my dump drive, all my MP3, movies, porn, yaddy yaddy yaddy are on it. Well it deleted the indexes and then 'rebuilt' them, there was nothing more I could do but watch winXP have a feild day on it's blue start up screen. Well after I got into windows I saw that all the data that was copied onto the 200 GB (it was just installed recently) was still there (as copied from the old hard drive) but none of the new data written in the past 3 weeks was showing up anymore.

After putting back in my 80 GB with my normal (fully loaded and normally running) version of windows, I opened my computer only to see the Devil boot up off the 40 was still in effect on the 200GB... All my new porn and musik was lost! Along with some new folders were MIA. How can I recover them; is there a way to tell winXP to rebuild the HDD index? I tried playing with the seaching index thing under settings that did no good. PLEASE HELP! The file system is NTFS someone told me that meens it is impossible to recover, please prove him/that wrong!
