I maintain an archive of all the program's zips and .exes that I have downloaded on 4th partition of HD0, which is a Maxtor 250GB PATA, that is apart from a raid 1 SATA array, that that the OS was installed on.
This seemed to work okay, but lately I have noticed that a number of my archived files were missing. I have no idea of the cause of this, because the HD0 drive comes out fine on a diagnostic.
I did have some SMART problems on the SATA drive of raid 1, which is why I disabled the array, but that shouldn't have effected the operation of the archive drive...should it?
What should I look for as a possible cause of this problem?
