Missing Files in Windows 7

I wrote a program in LabView back in 2006 and compiled it to save to cdocuments and settings\username\blah. The file is initiated every time the program is started and is given a filename based on the date and time at which the program is started.

I built a new computer in my lab to try to consolidate a lot of my instrumentation and I installed Windows 7. Now I don't have access to the LabView compiler anymore, so I can't update it to change it to cusers\username\blah. The LabView program doesn't give me an error or anything, but it doesn't appear to be saving the file anywhere, either. Anyone have any ideas? This isn't a huge deal, since the worst-case scenario is that I simply move the hardware back to the old machine or install an older OS on this one, but it seems that there should be a workaround out there somewhere.

Yes, but Windows 7 uses "Documents and Settings" as a junction, so it can't exist as an actual folder. I also created the corresponding folder in C:\users\username\blah, but that didn't do anything for me.

Not sure if this helps, but I looked in the program's folder and it has a program.aliases file that contains the following:

[My Computer]
My Computer=localhost

Does anyone have any idea if I can use this sort of aliasing to address my problem? I suppose I should ask the LabView people this, but figured someone here might know.

Echo what Gunbuster says. I have a program essential to a client that will not run on Vista or 7 (Micrografx Draw 6). I downloaded and installed Microsoft's XM Mode VM and put that program in that cloister, and it works perfectly. When you close the VM, it becomes a hibernation file.
