When my girlfriend uses the "one button" in Systemworks 2002, it comes up and tells her that she has 26 shortcuts that are invalid and can't be fixed.

More importantly to her, it says the following:

"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Installshield\Professional\RunTime\0701\Intel32\Dotnetinstaller.exe cannot access mscoree.dll"

I don't know if that might be important or not.

Can anyone shed some light on it?

Thank you

I can shed this light: Norton 2002 is desparately out-of-date as an antivirus solution, even with the latest updates. Time to get something modern. If you need something free, check Schadenfroh's roundup of antivirus programs at http://www.schadentech.com, he reviewed several that are free for single non-commercial use, as well as some other current-generation pay-for versions.

Google mscoree.dll and download it, and extract it to your desktop. ...then just navigate to the Dotnetinstaller.exe file and drag mscoree.dll there. Problem solved.

Thank you. We were trying to do some research to find out if Systemworks 2005 was the best solution for a home or home business user.

I am glad I found Anandtech. Everyone seems to be very nice and helpful. Thanks for helping those of us that are desparately naive.

Thank you so much. What is simple to some is not to us but we are learning. Those of you who help in this way will be remembered and blessed for it.
