Missing Driver: How Do I Know Which One?

Just did a fresh install of Windows 7 Pro on a Dell XPS15, (L501X).
After installing what I thought were all the necessary drivers, Device Manager is showing a yellow flag under Other Devices>Unknown Device.
There aren't any performance issues that I've noticed, but how do I determine what driver is missing? Thank you.
 
One option is Windows update. Another option is a program like Sisoftware Sandra, which can list your hardware specifications better than Windows.
 
I tried Windows Update already but it came up empty. I'll take a look at Sisoftware Sandra. Thanks.
 
I'd bet that it is either a Renesas USB3.0 driver, a motion sensor driver, or a card reader driver.

Of the three choices, my first suspect would be USB3.0: Windows doesn't ship with drivers for Renesas USB3 chipsets, and they usually aren't picked up by Windows Update either.
 
Steltek, the usual suspects. But all those drivers have been successfully installed, leaving me at a loss. Appreciate the input.
 
Carbo, any luck on finding your driver yet? Did you get your drivers from the Dell website, or from elsewhere? And possibly a silly question, but do you have anything plugged into the laptop now?

If not, it may come down to going through the drivers on the web page to see what was missed. It won't let you install a driver for a device that is not present.
 
Can you get a hardware id in Device Manager (i.e. right-click on the missing device, hit properties, and under the Details Tab, use the Property pull down to display the hardware ID)?
 
Ketchup, all drivers were pulled direct from Dell. I may resort to going through the install process driver by driver. But I'd like to avoid that process if I can. And, no, nothing is plugged into the laptop.

Issue resolved. After my post above I Googled the hardware ID and it turns out it was the driver for the motion detector, which I apparently overlooked.
Installed it and the exclamation point is no longer.
