Missing CPU Pin = Trash it Or is it fixable?

No flaming needed on what a dumass I am, thats already passed.

Broke it by not pulling up the lever.... smooth move I know.

I was finally cleaning up where I had put the computer together and found it.. trash it? Or can something useful be done with it? :-\

Depends what pin, and we are taling just ONE pin right. If so give it a try. CPUs have more then 1 power and ground pin so if its one of those it might work.

Yeah, just one pin, a few others are bent, but I see nothing holding me back from getting them back into place If im careful :-D

It could very well be a ground. If not, a few thin strands of wire inserted into the socket carefully so that they will contact where the pin broke off of can work.
