Is it me or has there been a rash of people buying products that were packaged as new but were clearly returned items, empty boxes, used products, etc?

I've read that newegg does this sometimes. Where someone would return an item and they'd just restock it as new even if it was missing something.

I called biostar and told them what happened and they are mailing me a new chip.. mighty nice of them to fix the issue and no newegg RMA 🙂

I was gonna suggest. Good job Biostar.

BTW, did the package appear opened at all?

I was thinking it was possible that it wasn't Newegg's fault. Maybe the board left the factory without the chip....maybe..

I've never had an issue with newegg, strange
my guess is it never had a bios chip - it somehow got missed in production

Newegg is digging their own grave, by choice apparently. Wasn't business going great for them when they were ethical and shipped with FedEx? I guess they got greedy when they went public.
