missing 5 gigs from my hard drive....

Well the total size is 29 gigs, it says i have 184 free megs

II have one folder on the drive, and the size of that folder is 24 gigs, so like where is my other 5 gigs? reclyeing bin is empty

I take it it's not your main drive?

Could be a combination of hidden system volume information and your swap file. Both hidden items. Do you have hidden and system objects as being visible? (tools->folder options)

If you have a protected recycling bin (like Norton AV 2003 and 2004 have), you'll need to right click on your recycling bin and also select "deleted protected files."

Open up your folder options, and check "view hidden files and folders." Chances are you have a "temp" folder on that drive and it's just not visible.

Do you have a link to an add for the drive?

Sometimes, marketing people cause this kind of problem.
1kB is 1024 bytes not 1000 bytes. But if a marketing guy sells you 1000 bytes and calls it 1kBytes, you will be asking where are my 24 bytes!

Are you sure this is not that kind of a problem?
