Missils strikes on Kabul, Afghanistan

Did you guys see the news, ooh must've been about 7pm EST yesterday (midnight here). Aparrantly missiles were rainging down on Kabul, the capital of Afghanistan. Rather oddly our news network only mentioned this very briefly.

An hour later they flashed up something saying that Bush had denied any involvement. ANd since then they haven't mention the incident at all..... interesting.

get with the program. the attacks were carried out by the Northern Alliance in reprisal for the killing of their leader over the weekend. the US had nothing to do with those attacks.

It was? OK. I was flipping from channel to channel looking for new bits since BBC was just repeating everything every 5 minutes.

A pair of Hind helicopters rained anti-tank missiles onto a weapons depot outside of Kabul. The rebels in Afghanistan are well equipped with ex-Russian helicopters and some heavy tanks. They don't have much for parts for them, but at least they do have something.
